(not) parkrun results 02/11/2020 – 08/11/2020

Credit where credit is due and Tralee have done it again. Their numbers continue to grow and yet they still have potential for more. With such strong numbers Tralee were able to deliver at least one victory for the Kingdom this week.

We really need to get our own numbers back up but also encourage the sleeping giant that is Malahide.
Ardgillan and Donabate can only do so much to assist us to hold back the barbarian hordes from The Kingdom.

There is another fight worth keeping an eye on and one which we can get St Annes, Tralee and all the others to help and that is the Global battle!

Global View

Look at the league table for the global picture and you can see that we are within touching distance of Australia. Let's all pull together and get the Aussies!!!

Two weeks ago Australia were hovering around the 1400 mark! We can definitely get up there after them.

The Potential

What is the potential? It is when you look at the average  number of finishers a parkrun had before Covid vs the number of (not) parkruns being logged. For example if say a parkrun had around 40 people finishing each week when parkrun was on then it would be reasonable to expect them to get 30 to 40 finishers logging a (not) parkrun each week.

Now look at the figures below.

Erris had 87 finishers log a (not) parkrun this week. That is 45 more than their average number of finishers for their parkrun. A Whooping 204%! Huge figures.

Clonbur Woods can feel rightly aggrieved at not taking the top spot when they had 146%. River Valley has only ever managed 103% so our 90% this week is poor by comparison.

If you are wondering will St Annes ever beat Tralee then look at their %. St Anne's can easily get more people out and only need to get up to 60% or so to take the crown. We think St Annes should up their game a bit and try to take on the mighty Buncrana (not sarcasm!). Great stuff out of Buncrana.

The Juniors

Just a little shout out to the juniors. Your kids can log a (not) parkrun for their home parkrun, Go Holywell!

A small number of juniors are doing just that. Your kids may not be up to a full 5k but might well relish a 2k and get their names up in lights too.

It might be a consolation prize but well down St Annes on the win!

De Northside

Not even going to publish the Northside vs Southside figures. We have no desire to kick 'em while they are down and down they are despite Bushy's best efforts.

Keep fighting the good fight and get logging those runs!!
