(not) parkrun results 26/10/2020 – 01/11/2020

There was a lot going on so we thought it better to put it all in a blog entry.

Overall parkrun results

It got very heated Sunday night to produce an epic battle between the reigning champions Tralee and the upstart pretender St Anne's.
In fairness if any parkrun could be called an upstart it would be River Valley.

However it all ended with Tralee putting in a mighty performance to claim this weeks first spot.

But as always there are winners amongst the winners.

For the first time in weeks Kerry have taken the inter-county thanks in no small part to the mighty performance of Tralee.

For the Northside vs Southside it was another bloodbath with the Northsiders completely hammering the Southside but there are signs of awakenings and we need to keep an eye on Bushy!

Now if you have read this far you may be about to disappear down a rabbit hole.

It's all well and good getting 156 people to complete a 5k but is it really that hard when you have no less than 14,587 registered. We had a look at two key numbers and they are the average number of finishers each parkrun had each week and also the total number of registrations against each as well.

You might think why but an interesting statistic is the number of (not)'s as a percentage of the average number of finishers. This throws up some real interesting figures and also a clear winner - Clonbur Woods!!!

Great to see River Valley closer to the top but we have done better in the past as we have exceeded 100% a number of times but a huge well done to Clonbur for the massive 128%.

The worry is Tralee have yet to hit peak performance and St Anne's have barely started. We all need to also start working on Malahide as they have not even reached 10%!

If anyone wants to view the figures you can look at the following link for the data.
